1. Welcome and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of velelle.com (the "Site") and any products, content, or services offered through it (collectively, "Velelle"). The Site is owned and operated by Country Living LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as Velelle ("Velelle" or "we"). When these Terms refer to "Velelle," they refer to Country Living LLC operating under that trade name.
By accessing the Site, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. What Velelle is
Velelle sells digital products (including downloadable PDFs, e-books, digital tools, and courses) and made-to-order physical products. Velelle also publishes free content, including articles, guides, and educational materials about emotional regulation, nervous system health, and related wellness topics.
Velelle content draws on established frameworks from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, polyvagal theory, biophilic design, attention restoration theory, and circadian biology. This content is educational in nature and is described in greater detail in Section 8 below.
3. Eligibility
To use the Site or make a purchase, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you are using the Site on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
4. Account terms
You are not required to create an account to make a purchase, but if you do create one:
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to notify Velelle immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Velelle reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain fraudulent information, or are used in ways that harm other customers or the business.
5. Pricing, payment, and taxes
All prices on the Site are listed in US dollars unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already placed.
Payment is processed at checkout through Velelle's payment processor. By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize Velelle to charge the full order amount, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees.
Sales tax will be added where required by law based on the shipping address.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, photographs, logos, illustrations, downloadable files, course materials, frameworks, methodologies, and the "Design Your Emotional Environment" concept, is owned by Velelle or licensed to Velelle. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing on the Site grants you any right or license to use Velelle's trademarks, branding, or proprietary frameworks without prior written permission.
7. License to use digital products
When you purchase a digital product from Velelle, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or share the digital product with others
- Reproduce or copy the product for distribution
- Modify the product and present it as your own work
- Use the product to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models
- Use the product in any commercial context without prior written permission
If you are a practitioner (therapist, coach, counselor, healthcare provider) and want to use Velelle materials with clients, contact sandra@velelle.com to discuss licensing.
Violation of these license terms may result in revocation of access, refund denial, and legal action.
8. Wellness disclaimer (please read carefully)
Velelle content is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment, therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care.
Sandra Dubrov is a Columbia University Certified Health Coach. She is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or other medical professional, and Velelle content does not constitute a clinical relationship.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or any medical emergency, do not rely on Velelle content. Contact a qualified healthcare provider, call your local emergency services, or in the United States, call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
If you have a diagnosed mental health or medical condition, consult with your treating provider before applying any Velelle techniques, protocols, or recommendations. Velelle frameworks are designed to support general nervous system regulation and emotional wellness for adults without acute clinical needs. They are not designed to treat disorders.
By using the Site or purchasing Velelle products, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for your own physical and mental health decisions.
- You will consult appropriate healthcare professionals for any medical or mental health concerns.
- Velelle (Country Living LLC), Sandra Dubrov in her individual capacity, and any contributors to Velelle content are not liable for any outcome resulting from your use or interpretation of Velelle materials.
9. Returns, refunds, and cancellations
All returns, refunds, and cancellations are governed by Velelle's Return and Refund Policy, available on the Site. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms of that policy.
10. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of Velelle or any third party
- Submit false or misleading information
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other user accounts, or Velelle's systems
- Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to extract content from the Site
- Use Velelle content to develop competing products or services without authorization
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate any person, including Velelle staff
- Use the Site in any way that disrupts its functionality or interferes with other users
Velelle reserves the right to investigate and take legal action against anyone who violates these provisions, including suspending access, removing content, and pursuing claims for damages.
11. Third-party links and services
The Site may include links to third-party websites or services. Velelle does not control these external sites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of service. Visiting third-party sites is at your own risk.
12. Disclaimers
The Site and all Velelle products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velelle disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Velelle does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Velelle does not warrant that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velelle, its members, managers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or any Velelle product.
Velelle's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site, regardless of the form of action, is limited to the amount you paid Velelle in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
In no event shall Sandra Dubrov individually have any personal liability under these Terms. All obligations arising from these Terms are obligations of Country Living LLC.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations in this section apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Country Living LLC, its members, managers, employees, and contributors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party right, or your violation of any applicable law.
15. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
Velelle may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email when possible. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
